    My thoughts on raising a boy

    Raising a boy child on my own was never something I’d set out to do but here I am. I’ve swapped dolls for cars and beauty treatments for mud and water. Luckily he has a mom who’s always enjoyed a bit of rough play and getting dirty. I sometimes sit down and wonder who will teach him the birds and the bee’s. Who will teach him the things boys usually do. It has been a breath of fresh air having my brother step up as that male role model that every little boy needs.     Magical Mozambique

    Magical Mozambique right at our doorstep. A drive away and you’re in this beautiful paradise, with no tarred roads, parts of barely used beaches and lots of vegetation. I decided to take a quick break for my birthday and well I just need something cheap and simple. This was a much-needed break from mommying. So off I went on a 6 hour drive with the bestie through a lot of rural Kwa-Zulu Natal. After plenty of stops for cattle crossing the border crossing was pretty easy.
